This policy covers emoto.news. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impenetrable.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing that identifies you. We run no analytics of our own, set no first-party tracking cookies, and have no accounts, logins, or newsletter to sign up for. There is no database of readers because there is no database.

Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. That is a normal function of any web server.

Advertising

We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising inGoogle Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies ataboutads.info.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before any advertising or measurement cookies are set, and you can change that choice at any time.

Embedded content

Articles sometimes embed YouTube videos. These load as a static preview image and contact YouTube only if you press play — nothing is loaded from Google's video servers until you choose to watch. When you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. Following one may let the retailer record that you arrived from this site, so it can attribute a resulting purchase. We receive aggregate commission reports, never information about who you are or what else you bought. See ourdisclosure page.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, use the Google links above or contact Google directly.
